Overcoming Obstacles on the Road to Success Transcript

It's interesting because I think doubt is healthy. Those are usually the things that propel you to the next level or motivate you to do better. People do their very best to avoid these serious moments instead of going through them. I would say to myself, what are you doubtful of? What are you afraid of? And I would go through them in my head and I would come up with solutions for every single one of the doubts and write them down. I would put them in places that I could see every day so that it would empower me to get through them and not fall victim to feeling lesser about myself. In order to support some of the endeavors, you should have a job that supplements the lack of income that you're not getting from the entertainment side of your projects. I worked at different restaurants as a waiter. I worked doing cold calls for marketing agencies. I did whatever I had to do to bring in money so that I could spend all my other free time working on the artist management side, which ultimately was my goal. I anticipated it was going to be very difficult. I didn't want this to be easy. Most people think that you get to quit your side job because of some monetary gain or some event that grants you the financial freedom to give up the side job. It was actually self-confidence. I realized at some point this was going to be my career. Once I realized that I was in this for the long run, I had no problem giving up the side jobs I had to take on. I knew that I could devote all my time and energy into figuring out how I was going to make this my main means of income.
